First, you'll need to install the packages yum, kyum, and yum-utils The yum configuration file /etc/yum.conf will be automatically created for you. You just need to add a configuration file in /etc/yum.repos.d folder with a name, such as : myyum.repo for repositories. locate command does not set up in default You need to install findutils and findutils-locate subpackage first. Then do : sudo updatedb Now you are ready to use locate
